Ramadan Mubarak

Tomorrow is officially the first day of Ramadan in most Arab and Islamic Countries. For a whole month Muslims all around the world will fast from sunrise till sunset that’s around 16 hours in Bahrain without food, drinks, smoke and any other temptations!  It will be hard this year as it falls during the hottest month of the year. It is definitely a big challenge but it is also an opportunity to thank god for all the blessings we have and to feel for the less fortunate.

I took this photo couple of months back before prayer time the masjid (mosque) was empty. In Ramadan masjids gets filled by devotees specially during the last 10 days of Ramadan as it is the most blessed days. During the last ten days of Ramadan, Muslims around the world seek to observe Laylat Al Qadr (The Night of Power). It is believed that the Quran (the holy book in Islam) has descended to prophet Mohammed in Laylat Al Qadr.

I take this opportunity to wish everyone a very blessed month I also want to share the video At the Madrasa which was taken at in Islamic School in India last March. Ramadan Kareem !
