There are many great hotels around the world but let’s be real if this hotel was good enough for Sophia Loren to stay then ofcourse it should be very special!
It doesn’t take much to fall in love with Rooms hotel Tbilisi. “Rooms” is part of the international group Design Hotels. I fell in love with the hotel the moment I stepped foot in the building.
Visionary owner Temur Ugulava was inspired by 1930s New York when coming up with the design concept for Rooms Hotel Tbilisi. “Rooms” has a combination of 1930s New York vision and old-world Tbilisi charm. The rooms and suites are outfitted with handmade wallpapers and rich wooden floors.
A salvaged old publishing house in the Vera district the 140 rooms and suites. Not only does the interiors of Rooms hotel feature rich leathers, local artwork but also custom made furniture. In addition each room is sensibly adorned with a uniquely modern line of handmade wallpapers. It features hand-painted textures coupled with silkscreen graphic patterns.
The rooms either have views of the bustling Chovelidze Street or the garden. Not to mention those on the fifth floor have terraces. An eye catching facade is created by salvaged wood along with post-industrial window frames.
The Kitchen restaurant has patterned wallpapers and wooden floors too. The design adds to the overall 1930s New York vibe. Similarly featuring white Parisian metro-style tiles and a rough-cut charm. Breakfast is as fresh as summer breeze and the dinners are a memorable experience too. Additionally the kitchen staff are very welcoming and attentive to guests. The Coffee was perfect too.
There is seriously not a single fault in this hotel. I loved it to the point that I booked to stay at the other Rooms Hotel in beautiful Kazbegi (another blog post to follow). All in all my stay at Rooms was the icing on the cake of My 10 Days backpacking trip to the Caucasus. As a matter of fact I can not wait to return specially if the rumored Rooms Hotel Batumi opens up soon.
Rooms is located in an urban area Vera district. It is close to the historic center and only 5-minute walk to Rustaveli Avenue. Moreover Old Tbilisi and main attractions of the city are all within walking distance.
