I finally made it to the Foundry photojournalism workshop in Bali. I have been eyeing it for years but I never managed to squeeze it in my busy calendar. This year I was determined to make it happen and I did!
I attended Ron Haviv’s class. It was such an amazing experience. Ron gave us a lot of tough love and pushed us to work harder and harder. Besides the classes there were some extra lectures on marketing and handling photography related legal matters. There were also some evening inspirational talks. The whole Foundry vibe was amazing and very inspiring.
We had only one week to come up with a subject and work on a story. It was really tough and so was the time pressure.
After attending Ed Kashi’s class earlier in March and now Ron’s I feel all geared-up and ready to take on any photojournalism assignment. It was truly a great experience (did I say this already?!).
My photo essay “Will you marry me” is published in my website here
